We here at Grown With Hart love to help authors grow. As authors ourselves, we know how daunting it can be to get to the next level, whatever that looks like for you. By now, you’ve probably realized there’s no “magic bullet” that’s going to make you a six-figure author. It’s a combination of promotion, marketing, gaining new readers, and weathering the ever-changing algorithms. And that’s on top of writing your book!

Grown With Hart is here to help promote your books, grow your social media platforms, and gain new newsletter subscribers. However, we’re not experts on everything. That’s why we’ve put together a list of our favorite helpful links & resources:

  • Kindlepreneur – Great resource for publishing on Amazon/Kindle Unlimited
  • Reedsy – Awesome resources & blog posts for authors!
  • InkersCon – Classes on everything under the sun for self-published authors
  • Setting up a new pen name – A prioritized checklist for getting set up!
  • Indie Author Foundations – A three-class bundle including Building an Author Brand, Newsletter best practices, and Income Boosters

  • Publisher Rocket – A tool to help with Amazon keywords, Amazon ads, and author stats!
  • Booksprout – A great way to send out ARCs. Free to use, upgrades available.
  • Reedsy Typset – Free program for formatting books
  • Vellum – User-friendly ebook formatting software (Mac omly)
  • Convertio – Free website to convert files from .docx & PDF to .MOBI and other ebook files.
  • Grammarly – Free website you can use for spelling, grammar, word suggestion, etc., for your manuscript. You can also get the google chrome extension, which checks your spelling & grammar pretty much anything you type online.
  • Later – A desktop & app for scheduling and posting to social media sites. If you do the “link in bio” option, you can add clickable links to your posts. Free with upgrades available.
  • SmarterQueue – A desktop & app for scheduling. This is the one I use. You can create “buckets” of content that are added to a queue and are then reposted when you get to the bottom of the bucket. It helps you build a library so you can forget about posting!
